The pregnancy photography session is meant to capture the beauty and rare form of the growing bump and baby inside. Photographs are taken with either a black or white background or outside with a natural background, depending on the package selected. Lighting is natural or studio enhanced depending on the nature of the photo shoot.
How long will the session be?
The length of the session will depend on which package you select. The Beauty and the Bump is for one hour, and Mommy & Me lasts for two hours.
When should I book an appointment?
Planning for the arrival of a baby is always exciting! Due to the many changes, expected and unexpected, within a pregnancy we recommend that photographs of the mother be taken no later than the 35th week of pregnancy. The optimal time to photograph the beautifully changing and growing body is between 30 – 35 weeks.
I’m past 35 weeks, can I still book an appointment?
Of course! So long as you feel comfortable being photographed we can make arrangements to make it happen. Please call us in order to discuss what arrangements can be made to ensure a safe and lovely photo shoot.
What should I bring to the photo shoot?
You should bring you and your glorious bump and any clothing, accessories and mementos that are meaningful to you if you would like to incorporate them into the photographs.
What happens before my photo shoot?
You will discuss the upcoming photo shoot with Florence, your photographer, in order to get a sense for the mood and theme of the shots that you would like to walk away with. For those who may be camera shy or unsure of the artistic possibilities for their photo shoot, Florence will provide samples of past shoots and will work with you to ensure a fun and comfortable experience and beautiful images at the end.
What happens after my photo shoot?
Your pictures will be processed through a professional photo editing application and will be uploaded onto an online photo gallery. You will be notified via email within 2 weeks that your pictures are ready to be viewed.
